With heavy hearts and unwavering faith in God’s promises, we celebrate the life of Anthony Ragucci, who entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on August 3, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on December 17, 1937, in Newark, New Jersey, Anthony lived a life defined by love, faith, service, and unwavering devotion to his family. He later made his home in Waxahachie, Texas, where he continued to bless those around him with his kind heart, generous spirit, and quiet strength.

Anthony proudly served his country in the United States Navy, carrying with him a deep sense of honor, discipline, and patriotism throughout his life. Following his military service, he dedicated many years to working at the Lennox China Plant where he met his forever love Regina before retiring from A+ Heating & Air Conditioning in Waldorf Maryland. While Anthony worked hard throughout his life, nothing compared to the joy he found in spending time with those he loved. His greatest treasure was his family. He was a devoted father, a proud grandfather, and an adoring great-grandfather whose love knew no limits. Whether it was sharing stories, celebrating milestones, enjoying family vacations, making memories at the slot machines, or simply being present, Anthony cherished every moment with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He never missed an opportunity to encourage, support, or remind them how deeply they were loved. The last 18 Years he enjoyed watching his great grandchildren playing sports he never missed the chance to be on the side line cheering on his boys Isaiah and Jeremiah and when it came to his great granddaughter Brooklyn he loved watching her at her dance recitals.

Anthony had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcome. Family, friends, neighbors, and even strangers could always count on him for a listening ear, wise advice, a helping hand, or a warm smile. His kindness left a lasting impression on everyone blessed enough to know him. His faith was the foundation of his life. As an active member of Oaks Church, Anthony faithfully loved the Lord and lived out his beliefs through compassion, humility, forgiveness, and service to others. He understood that the greatest legacy a person can leave is one of faith and love, and he did exactly that.

Anthony was preceded in death by the love of his life and beloved wife of 51 years, Regina Christine Ragucci; his cherished son, Anthony Joseph Ragucci; his parents, Lena and Louis Ragucci; his in-laws, Regina and George Besack; his beloved grandson, Justin Plank; and his precious granddaughter, Nikki McMurray. While their loss weighed heavily on his heart, he held tightly to the promise that one day they would be reunited in the presence of the Lord.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving daughters, Gina Ragucci , Tara Claggett (Douglas Claggett) & Tricia Plank; his beloved grandchildren, Lauren & Ramal Crumes, Amber & Justin Warren, Travis McMurray, Matt McMurray and his treasured great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Brooklyn Crumes, Maggie, Jackson and Addison Warren, his sister/brother in law Lucille & Gilbert Flora, along with many extended family members, dear friends, and church family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Though our hearts ache in his absence, we rejoice knowing Anthony has heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” His race is finished, his faith has become sight, and he is now reunited with those who went before him in the eternal presence of Jesus Christ.

Anthony’s life reminds us that love, faith, and family are life’s greatest blessings. Though we will miss his laughter, wisdom, and comforting presence every day, his legacy will continue to live on in the lives he touched and in the generations who proudly carry his love forward.
