Avarista Eva Longoria-Alvarado, age 89, died peacefully on April 1, 2015 surrounded by many of her loved ones. She was born to Jose Longoria and Delfina Del Bosque on February 19, 1926. She was one of four children. She is preceded in death by her husband Felix Alvarado, SR., baby boy and daughter in law Patricia Alvarado. She is survived by Mary Longoria, her sister. Eva married Felix on April 24, 1944 in Beeville, Texas. They moved to Ellis County for work where they raised 11 children in the area. She was a happy homemaker and enjoyed the company of many of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. There are no words to describe the void that Eva has left behind in so many people that loved her dearly. We know the angels in heaven are thrilled to welcome her home. Her children will always have a special place in their heart for their dear mother. She is survived by sons, Felipe Alvarado, Thomas and Juanita Alvarado, Frank and Lupe Alvarado, Joe and Nora Alvarado, Johnny and Becky Alvarado, Julio and Gloria Alvarado, Jessie and Maria Alvarado..Daughters, Rosa and Ramone Hernandez, Eva and Lawrence Mendoza, Lupe and Matilde Perez, Virginia and Juan Martinez. She has 48 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren and many great, great grandchildren. There will be a rosary at 6pm at Waxahachie Funeral Home, 1201 West Highway 287 Bypass, Waxahachie, TX 75165. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 7th at 10am, St Joseph Catholic Church. With interment following at Waxahachie city Cemetery.
