Barbara Steiner, 84, passed away May 18, 2018.  She was born in Garden City Kansas, October 21, 1933, to Cecil and Cora Stinemetz.

Barbara grew up in Kansas, when her family moved to Nebraska, she met Bud and they married on September 17, 1950.  While Bud served in the Air Force they started their family when Kathleen and then Rick was born.  After Bud's military service, the family moved to South Sioux City, Nebraska where Mike, Karen, and Dan were born and raised.

Barbara enjoyed playing and listening to music as well as dedicating her time at the local Baptist Church.  She served as the pianist as well as a Sunday school teacher and youth leader in South Sioux City.  After their retirement, Bud and Barb enjoyed traveling and camping with Barb's brother Elmer and his wife Mary.  They spent many of their winters in Arizona until their eventual relocation to Red Oak Texas.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Lawrence (Bud) Steiner, daughter Kathleen Joanne Steiner and granddaughter Kimberly Ann Steiner.  Brother Elmer Stinemetz, sisters Lois Stoll and Erville Bryan.

She is survived by sons Rick Steiner and wife Leslie, Mike Steiner and wife Linda, and Dan Steiner and wife Karen, daughter Karen Reicks, grandchildren Matthew, Caleb, Timothy, Andrew, Laura, Amanda, Aaron, and Alyssa Steiner, Eric Reicks (Janna), and Ashlie Miller (Bruce) and numerous great-grandchildren.

The inurnment will be 2:15 PM, Wednesday, May 23 at the Dallas Ft. Wort  National Cemetery, in Dallas, Texas.  A memorial service will follow at Eastridge Baptist Church, 732 E. Ovilla Road, Red Oak, Texas at 4:00 PM.
