Bernice Inez Cockrell, 85, was born in Waxahachie, Texas on June 20, 1925 to Oscar Love Brown and Levada Cooey Gray Brown. Bernice was a member of South Prong Baptist Church. She passed away peacefully while being surrounded by her family on May 19, 2011. Preceding her in death are her parents, brothers, Alvin Brown, W. Ted Brown, J.O. (Manny) Brown, Grady Brown, and Grace Brown Dodson. Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Sue Brinkley, and son-in-law Mike of Waxahachie, TX, a sister Laura Brown Robertson, grandchildren, Brandi Moody and husband Eric, great-grandchildren, Conleigh Allise Moody and Cambrynn Monroe Moody, special nieces, nephews, and a special friend, Helen Sims of Arlington, TX. The memorial Service will be a 3:00 PM Sunday May 22, 2011 at Waxahachie Funeral Home. Arrangements are under direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home
