Betty Jean Seymore Hayes of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2021. Betty was born August 26, 1937 to Rufus and Myrtle Seymore in Sterrett, Texas.

After marrying the love of her life, Ken, they made their home in Midlothian then Waxahachie.

Betty enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and especially loved spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Rufus and Myrtle Seymore, one sister; Ruth Ingram and one brother; Maurice Seymore.

She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-five years; Ken Hayes, one daughter; Karin Hayes Funk, one son; Greg Hayes and his wife, Penny; granddaughters: Kristin Funk, Cassie Hayes, Annie Hayes; grandson: K.J. Funk; one great grandson: Bintly Burns; one brother: Charles Gordon Seymore and his wife, Reathia.

Betty will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 3:00 o'clock in the afternoon at Sardis Cemetery.
