Billy Don Story was born on September 11, 1941, in Waxahachie, Texas to the parentage of Cleveland Story and Johnnie Mae Story. He was their first born and big brother to Oliver (deceased), James, Cornelius, and Shanda (deceased). He was a graduate of Turner High School.

For 45 years, he was married to Rosel who preceded him in death. He shared a special bond with his stepchildren, Sandra (deceased) and Zena. Billy and Rosel made a life in Stockton, CA until their retirement and moved back to Waxahachie. He worked and retired from the Stockton Independent School District.

Billy had four children Anita (deceased), Billy Jr., Patricia (Lil Pat), Wynona (Nonie) from a previous marriage to Patricia Overton.

Before Billy’s sickness, he loved fishing, horseback riding, raising horses, trail rides and CB radios. His most recent passion was listening to “Pal Talk.”

He leaves behind cherished memories: Story Family, Haley Family, Pointer Family, Johnson Family, Anderson Family, grandchildren, other family and friends throughout Texas and California. Special thanks to Juanita and daughter, Marilyn, Forrest, and Peggy, caretakers who spent countless hours with him.
