Bobby Wayne Montgomery, age 57, a resident of Midlothian, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on November 26th due to a tragic accident.

Born on October 27, 1966, to George and Genell Montgomery in Duncanville, Texas, Bobby spent his formative years in Midlothian, attending school in Waxahachie and graduating in 1985.

Bobby's passion lay in his skillful craft of glass installation, a talent he honed for over 25 years. Renowned as the best in the business, he proudly owned and operated Discount Auto Glass for more than a decade. His entrepreneurial spirit defined him, and he loved the independence of running his own business.

A man of enduring friendships, Bobby's nature endeared him to all who knew him. A dance enthusiast from his square dancing days as a child, he had pride as a country dancer, charming everyone on the dance floor. His love for casinos, bowling, golf, and sports, especially the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, and Dallas Stars, showcased his interest and love of Texas sports. However, his most cherished achievement was his daughter, Addison. He proudly shared her accomplishments with anyone who would listen, his love for her was immeasurable.

He is preceded in death by his father, George Montgomery, mother, Genelle Brown, brother, Johnny Montgomery, step-sister, Peggy Parton, and step-brothers Charles and Jimmy Parton.

Bobby is survived by his daughters, Addison Montgomery and Hannah Smith. From Hannah, he leaves behind three granddaughters—Rhilynn, Kyndall, and Birdie. He is also survived by stepmother Peggy Parton, stepbrother Mark Manley, nephew Brandon Montgomery, and numerous cousins and relatives.

A visitation to celebrate Bobby's life will be held on Saturday, December 2nd, from 11 am to 1 pm at Waxahachie Funeral Home.
