A Remembrance of Her Life
Brenda Donnell, 68 of Midlothian, TX passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 30, 2022. She was the daughter of Harold and Bobbie Fincher of Waxahachie, Tx and was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Jasper and Hester Haley, paternal grandparents J.O and Cassie Fincher, Father Harold Fincher, and granddaughter Kimberly Gayle Itson. Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 21 years Robert Donnell; mother Bobbie Haley Fincher; brother Terry Fincher; sons: Aaron (Amanda) Itson, Rocky (Kim) Robinson, Daniel (Adrienne) Donnell, David (Kayla) Donnell; grandchildren: Aaron Jr., Ethan, Azlin, Tristan, Stockard, Jace, Jaxen, Cody, Kyleigh, Conner, Olivia, Loralei, Ezra, Kenzie; great grandchildren: Cameron, Carson, Cade, Phoenix, Jeremiah, Winter, Faith and Greyson. And many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Brenda was a proud and dedicated mother and grandmother who never missed a football game. She was committed to her family and making sure that they always knew how much she loved them and how proud she was of each one of them. Brenda in so many ways was a second mother to her grandchildren, she was very loved and will be greatly missed. She loved shopping and spending time with her BCF (best cousin friend) Marsha Fincher Fox. The two cousins loved one another like sisters they were rarely apart and when they were together many laughs were had.
Brenda married the love of her life Robert and 21 years was not long enough. They completed each other and were a beautiful example of what true partnership is. She loved to travel and shared many adventures with her husband. They enjoyed countless road trips and cruises. Brenda loved the beach and the sunsets. You would always find the sweetest smile on her face. She was always so welcoming and warm towards everyone she met.
Brenda worked for Dayton Superior for 37 years she was a hard worker and a dedicated employee. She looked forward to retirement which would allow for more adventures filled with college football games and family vacations.
She was raised a member of the Water Street Baptist church and become a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. While in high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society and a member of the Masters Garden Club. Her love for gardening continued through the years. Robert and Brenda spent many hours in their yard laughing together and making plans of what they would plant next.
She loved entertaining and her doors were always open. She loved playing the game chicken foot with her family and friends. She always said Robert would cheat. Brenda was a kind and gentle woman who loved her beloved animals named Molly, Dotty, Dixie, Tiger and Katy.
A very special thanks to Brenda's neighbor Becky who was a dear friend. The family would like to thank The Bristol Hospice team.
Visitation is July 7 th , 2022 at Waxahachie Funeral Home from 6-8pm Funeral service July 8th , 2022 at 10am University Assembly of God 221 Solon Rd., Waxahachie 75165.
