Candelaria Martinez passed away at the age of 90, at home surrounded by her family on February 28, 2026.  She was born on February 2, 1936, in Mexico to Cipriano Bueno and Teresa Garcia.

Candelaria was a home make all her life. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and spending time with her family.

Candelaria is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Bertin Martinez, her parents, Cipriano Bueno & Teresa Garcia, Her son, Refugio Martinez and her son-in-law, Gildardo Luis.

She is survived by her children, Juanita (Thomas) Alvarado, Esperanza Luis, Bertin (Angela) Martinez, Graciela (Mario) Munoz, Francisco (Brenda) Martinez, Sergio Martinez and Luis (Andrea) Martinez, 20 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Waxahachie Funeral Home on Friday, March 6, from 5-7.
