Carol Wanice Esparza passed away to be with Jesus on November 16, 2017 at the age of 73.   She was born in Dallas, TX on July 11, 1944 to Elmer J. and Rosea Ella Peel Hammonds.

She loved the Lord with all her heart, soul, and mind.  She loved arts and crafts, VANILLA ice cream, cross-stitching, and Bingo.  She truly loved her friends at Focus Care Nursing Home and never forgot to say thank you to all who cared for her, no matter the smallest deed done for her.

She loved and is survived by her brothers Timothy Hammonds of Boyd, TX, and Phillip Hammonds of Dawson, TX; her sisters Mary Lambretch of Abilene, TX, Virginia Chambers of Red Oak, TX, Dolores Bird of Nash, TX, Ann Wall of Waxahachie, TX, Shree Connell of Waxahachie, TX and Elizabeth Hambrick of Santa Ana, TX.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Rosea Ella Hammonds and a sister Rosea Vyrama Davidson.

A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017 at Farley Street Baptist Church, with Pastor Richard Smith officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home.
