Cora Evelyn Taylor, age 94, of  Waxahachie, Texas, passed away peacefully at Covenant Place Assisted Living in Waxahachie, Texas Tuesday, February 16, 2021.Cora was the daughter of Oscar Louis and Iva Mae (Brown) Carson. She was bornon January 6, 1927 in Childress, Texas.

She was a long time resident of Durant, Oklahoma. She was an awesome cook and was  known for her delicious carmel cupcakes. She was an avid photographer and really enjoyed taking family pictures, with the instructions: "You kids line-up!" She enjoyed playing 42 and Chicken Foot. She was known to jump in the car at the drop of hat, and take a road trip. She especially loved her "Sister Retreats," where the cousins were NOT ALLOWED! Her best friend was Isabel Johnson.

She is preceded in death by her Ex-husband; Walter Thomas Taylor, one son; Ronald Thomas Taylor, one grandson;  Aaron Thomas Taylor, one brother; Melvin Carson, and two sisters; Thelma Louise Carson-Cowan and Velma Lee Lemon.

She is survived by one son; Gary W. Taylor of Lancaster, Texas, one daughter; Shirley Jean Taylor of  Dallas, Texas, grandchildren; Jeremiah Lyndon Taylor of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Shelby Taylor and Bethany Taylor of  Henderson, Texas, and two sisters; Mary Ellen Delaney of Wimberley, Texas, Irene Hendrix  of Van Alstyne, Texas.

Cora will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.
