Danny Paul Goforth passed away February 16, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born July 28, 1950, in Gorman, Texas, to Charlene and Curtis Goforth. Danny proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired from AT&T with 36 ½ year's service where he met his wife. He was a very active member of The Oaks Church and formerly Christ Church A/G, Men's Prayer Group, and Manna Class, he served as an auditorium host. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf, tennis, and softball, coaching Pee Wee sports, watching pickleball, and shopping at Black Friday sales but most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Roy Goforth, Irvin L. Young, Jerry Charlene Young, brother Monty Boston, sister Linda Sue Goforth, great grandson Kolsen Douglas Kemp.
Left to honor Danny's memory are his loving wife of 45 years Kim Goforth, daughters, Amber Lazard and husband Jacques, Shannon Hall and husband Richard, son Andrew Goforth and wife Amanda, siblings Curtis Goforth, Teresa Marett, Brenda Mack, Roseanne Graves, David Boston, Debbie Carnahan, his eleven grandchildren, Mason Kemp, Maci and Donald Fretwell, Harleigh Prather, Allie Hall, Konner and Macey Kemp, Addison and Ethan Lemley, Breeland Hall, Jack Thorsnes, Ruth Goforth, Charlotte Tuck, Emerie Goforth, seven great-grandchildren and many close friends and family.
The family would like to thank all of the friends and family for their prayers and encouragement during this time.
A visitation will be held at the Waxahachie Funeral Home on Wednesday, February the 19th from 4:30pm to 6:30 pm. A funeral service will be held on February the 20th at The Oaks Church at 10 am. A private graveside service will be held on February the 27th at 1:30pm at the DFW National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donate to the Oaks Church please note "The Park". https://www.oaks.church/give
