Derrick Vaughn, passed away October 22, 2023 at the age of 39.  He was born April 26, 1984 in Dallas, Texas to Philip Vaughn and Beverly Sorrells.

Derrick had a larger-than-life personality with a great sense of humor.  Anyone that knew him knows he never was at a loss for words.  Derrick was swift with his comebacks and always had plenty of stories to share.  He loved spending time with his brothers, whether working beside them, fishing, riding motorcycles, or just hanging out. Though he faced many obstacles in life, he remained a kind-hearted soul who will truly be missed.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Leon Sorrells Sr. and son Kaleb Anthony Vaughn.

Derrick is survived by his mother Beverly Sorrells, father Philip Vaughn, brothers Joshua Jacinto and wife Kristen, Philip "Bo" Vaughn, Christopher Jacinto, children Logan Vaughn, Haley Heiser, Derrick Allen Vaughn Jr., and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 6:00 PM  at Waxahachie Funeral Home.
