Diana Lee Greenwalt was born on March 9, 1945 in Salem, Ohio, to Charles and Alice Greenawalt.

She was a graduate of Salem High School in Salem, Ohio, when she met the love of her life, Larry Wayne Mercer.  They married on March 19, 1966, while continuing her higher education and achieving her Registered Nursing Degree in 1967.

While raising their three children, she enjoyed the ministry of her nursing career and serving as a teacher of elementary Christian education.

Diana is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Larry Wayne Mercer,  sons; David Michael Mercer, Brian Wayne Mercer, and daughter; Lisa Marie Knight.

She loved being "Grandma" to her five grandchildren: Morgan Rae Mercer, Pierce Michael Mercer, Landon Wayne Mercer, Lauren Marie Knight, and Clayton Michael Knight.

Diana enjoyed camping, a leisure drive in the country, and game nights with family and friends.  She will always be remembered by her unforgettable smile and deep relationship with God.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Waxahachie Funeral Home.
