Donnie Haney, 66, lost his battle with cancer March 3, 2013. He was born December 21, 1946, in Waxahachie, Texas, to Arvel and Virgie Haney. Donnie was a furniture upholster by trade. He loved what he did and took pride in his work, working at both Flexsteel and Ellisville until his retirement in 2011. But what brought him the most joy, was his daughter Lana. She will always remember him for his unconditional love for her and his gentle caring ways. Donnie is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Eggelston. Donnie is survived by his mother Virgie Haney, loving daughter Lana Fincher, sister Judy Robertson-Reese, brother Gary Haney, grandchildren Jacob Fincher & wife Millie, Tanner Fincher, Great Grandchildren Lane Fincher, Mason Fincher, Avery Fincher. Prior to the service family and friends will gather at 6 PM Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Waxahachie Funeral Home.
