Dora Charlotte Bristow, of Glenn Heights, TX, was born to Lynn Owen and Jenny Josie “Joy” (Cain) Stokes on December 17, 1947, in Dallas, TX. She passed from this life on August 22, 2026, at a care facility in Waxahachie, TX. Charlotte grew up worshipping at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Dallas and continued with a strong Christian faith throughout her life. She graduated from Kimball High School and quickly married the love of her life, Sandy Ray Bristow, on February 4,1966. Charlotte dedicated her life to raising her two sons and supporting Sandy’s undergraduate and graduate educational programs and his career development in the pharmaceutical industry. When Sandy’s health deteriorated about twenty years ago, Charlotte became his major care giver during most of the years before his passing in 2025. During the past few years, she has navigated the decline of her own health with courage, faith, and dignity. She has been a beautiful blessing to her family and friends.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Kathy Susan (Stokes) Gardner. She is survived by her sons, Adam Ray (Melissa) and Troy Lynn Bristow; her brother, Richard Stokes (Donna); her grandchildren, Amanda Bristow Alam and Orion and Justin Bristow; great grandchildren Ayden Floyd and Ari and Ariel Alam; and many beloved nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be determined at a later time. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers.
