IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Doris Marie
Knoy
May 31, 1943 – January 3, 2024
Nothing can ever take away a love the heart holds dear. The loss is immeasurable, but so is the love left behind. No longer in pain and eternally healed, Mrs. Doris Goss Knoy entered the gates of Heaven on January 3rd, 2024.
Doris was born on May 31, 1943, to Charles Frank Goss and Gladys Myrtle Marsh Goss in Paragon, Indiana. She graduated from Martinsville High School in 1961. Soon after, Doris met the love of her life Robert "Bob" Knoy and married him. They eventually traveled to Texas, where they made a home for themselves. Both became residents of Maypearl, Texas and quickly well-loved citizens of its small community. Doris loved to serve and help others in any way she could be of service. She turned her passion into a career when she began working for Baylor Scott & White Health in March of 1982 and until she retired in December of 2000.
Doris loved the Lord with all her heart and loved any person she came to know just as fiercely. She never had any biological children of her own but became affectionately known as "Momma D" or "Granny" to many. Her phone line was always open, and she was quick to share her witty and infectious humor with anyone who would listen.
Doris was preceded in death by her soulmate Robert "Bob" Knoy, her father Charles Frank Goss, her mother Gladys Myrtle Marsh Goss, and her brother Merrill E. Goss. She leaves behind two nieces, a nephew, her best buddy AJ, beloved Colby Lane, and many lifelong friends.
"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Revelation 21:4
Please join us in celebrating her life by sharing some of your favorite memories with Doris on Saturday, February the 3rd, at 2pm, at First Baptist Church in Maypearl, Texas.
