Dorothea "Dottie" Crabtree, 80, a long-time resident of Waxahachie, TX, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. She was surrounded by family and friends and to her last breath remained a beacon of light. Dottie will be remembered for her kind heart, warm smile, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She has left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She was simple with a huge heart and her special love for animals, especially donkeys, will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

Dottie is survived by her 2 sons, Mitch Pearson and Don Crabtree, her daughter Kelly Kelly, 5 grandchildren, Justin and Jason Kelly, Samantha Winningham, Sasha and Bridget Pearson, as well as 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her older brother Russell Skoglund and 2 nieces, Lauree Skoglund and Kyle Parker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Doe Skoglund, her loving husband, Don Crabtree Sr, two sons, Vince and Nicholas Pearson and sister Margaret Peterson.

Services will be held to honor and celebrate Dottie's life, at 10 AM on June 22, 2024, at the Waxahachie Funeral Home Chapel, located at 1201 W 287 By-Pass, Waxahachie, TX 75165.
