Dorothy Edwards, 78, passed away at home September 14, 2012. She was born January 11, 1934 in Oklahoma to Oren and Coralie Dillon. Dorothy worked as a bank teller for 40 years; most of them at Citizens National Bank in Waxahachie. In 1956, she married Roy Edwards, who preceded her in death in 1991. Dorothy is survived by 3 sons: Kevin Edwards and wife Jean of Silver Spring, Md.; John Edwards and wife Dina of Frisco; Rob Edwards and wife Melissa Watt of Denton; 4 grandchildren: Michael Edwards, Patrick Edwards, Reid Edwards and Ana Smith; and her sister, Vicki Reed of Edmond, Ok. She loved to read, was a very active member of her church and loved being with her family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Central Presbyterian Church in Waxahachie. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 4 PM at the Central Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home. www.waxahachiefuneralhome.
