Dorothy Ann Diggs, 83, of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022.

She was born May 25, 1939 to John & Christine Grones in West Texas, Texas.

Mrs. Diggs worked for many years at Jan's Dress Factory as a seamstress. She applied those same skills and began working in the upholstery industry, working for Randall Osborn and David Woods.

In her spare time, and after retirement, she enjoyed gardening and canning the "fruits of her labor,"  and her family and friends enjoyed eating all she grew and canned. When she was no longer physically able to  tend her garden, she loved her adult coloring books and dot to dot books. Her outgoing personality made her especially easy to love. She loved the Lord and her church family. You didn't have to talk to her very long to realize how important family was to her, and especially all her grandchildren, great grands, and great-great grands! They held a very special place in her heart.

Mrs. Diggs is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Johnnie Diggs, Sr.(Big John),  son Frankie Joe Vybiral, and son-in-law Terry Luckie.

She is survived by her sons: Richard (Vicki) Diggs, Johnnie (Tina) Diggs, Jr., daughters: Mary Ann Luckie,   Louise Taylor, Evelyn Gouge, ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Graveside Service participants: Officiant Rev. Wayne Shuffield, Vocalists Wayne & Cassey Crocker, and Pallbearers Cody Diggs, Curtis Diggs, Randy Kubitz, Wyatt Kubitz, Matthew Rice and Dustin Gouge.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 31, at Waxahachie Funeral Home from 3:00-5:00.

A graveside service will be held Monday, August 1, at 10:00 o'clock in the morning at Vaughan Cemetery, County Road 2440, Hillsboro, TX 76645.
