Dorthey Curry, 91 years of  age,  of Waxahachie passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022. She was born March 30, 1931 in Boyce, Texas, to John & Gertie (Allen) Thompson.

She graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1948. She married the love of her life,  Clayton Darrell (C.D.) Curry in December, 1951.  Together, they made their home in Waxahachie, where they raised their four children.

Dorthey is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband,  C.D. Curry and son-in-law, Mike Moore.

She is survived by her children: Debra Moore of Waxahachie, Chim (Lori) Curry of Waxahachie, Donna Moore (Mike) of Venus and Charles (D'Anna) Curry of Trinidad,  grandchildren: Amy Jondle (Bob), Laura Lucas (Adam), Stephanie Pieczynski, Karen Allen (Mark), Brandie Horne (Jason), Cody (Andrea) Curry, Casi Wood (Brad), Chad (Raven) Curry, Caylie Watson (Phillip), great grandchildren: Ryan Thrash (Shadee), Jon Miller (Katy), Darin Horne, Colton Allen, Kinley Horne, Brailey Wood, Beth Jondle, Paizley Jondle, Ryan Wood, Caden Curry, Colin Poole, Logan Lucas, Jackson Horne, Cadi Curry, Emilie Horne, Jagger Bennett, Skylar Pieczynski, Hendrix Bennett, Blake Lucas, Camden Pieczynski, Jensyn Curry, Zoey Watson, Collins Curry, Hannah Watson, great-great grandchildren: Ri, Rhyder, Nevan, Kensley.  One sister; Marion (Cooter) Moon, along with many friends and family.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 15, 2022, at 3:30PM at Waxahachie Funeral Home, with service following at 5:00.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
