IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dr.Kerry Sue
Donaldson Willert
March 22, 1977 – October 28, 2024
Dr. Kerry Sue Donaldson born on March 22, 1977, in Arlington, Texas. She passed away peacefully in her home in Waxahachie, Texas on October 28, 2024.
Daughter of Katherine S. and Larry Donaldson. Kerry was loved immensely by her family. She was so much to us, a loving wife to her husband Paul, the best big sister to Kristen and Richard, a nurturing mother to Nicole, Trenton and his wife Kylie, along with her bonus children Conner and Kyleigh, Mama K to two grandchildren, the fun Aunt to Kacey and Richlynn, and a reliable confidant to her many friends. She was so excited about her new grandbaby on the way brought to the world by Trenton and Wife Kylie. She will be greeted with a loving smile in heaven by her mother, Dr. Katherine S. Donaldson, and grandparents K.C. and Sandra Browne of Waxahachie.
Kerry grew up in Waxahachie and attended church at the First United Methodist church with her family. She went to Waxahachie High School and
was involved in dance for many years. While not at dance, she followed her father around the race track at a young age, eventually taking up the hobby herself in 1998, with her father Larry by her side. They both drove matching 1927 Ford Roadsters, drag racing together from 1998 to 2004. She welcomed her first child Nicole into the world, it was just the two of them until she met Brad Harlin they wed and welcomed son Trenton in 1999. She loved attending his Hockey games cheering him on.
Before becoming a respected psychologist, she worked for the family nursery, Greenwood Nursery until 2012 when she decided to follow her mother Katherine Donaldson's footsteps, earning her doctorate in Psychology in 2020.
She reconnected with the love of her life, Paul Willert, in 2015. They later married on January 16, 2021,gaining her two bonus children. She loved being at home with her family. Whether it was baking, cooking, hosting football weekends, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys, she just enjoyed spending quality time with them.
She also took great pride in her work and enjoyed helping others, dedicating many hours mentoring her students. Enjoyed working alongside her colleagues, sharing a passion caring for her clients. Kerry and sister Kristen continued the mission and legacy left by the late Dr. Katherine Donaldson in 2020 providing mental health services. Dr. Donaldson's desire to help people as a clinical psychologist made her a beloved figure in the community, touching many lives. She studied at the University of Texas at Arlington for her undergraduate work and received her master's degree and PhD in clinical psychology from Walden University.
Dr. Donaldson's warm smile, kind, caring, and cheerful nature will be remembered by all who knew her. She made time for her family and friends and was always there to lend an ear or offer support. She lived a great life and will be sorely missed, but will live in the hearts of the many who loved her forever.
