Obituary

Earl David Edward Lamm

July 22,1939-November 4, 2026

Earl David Lamm passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 4, 2026 at the age of 87. He was born July 22, 1939 in San Antonio to Edwin and Hilda Lamm as the youngest of six siblings. He lived his entire life in San Antonio until he moved to waxahachie, Texas July 7, 2026.

David proudly served in the National Guard for six years. In his early years he worked for Fuller Brush and the Mayflower Moving Company. Later he spent 25 years as a design draftsman for Church's Fried Chicken from where he retired at age 63.

David met his wife Judith in 1962 while she was in San Antonio for a year on a nursing assignment from her homeland England. They married in 1964.

David retired in 2002 and took pleasure building a home on their land in Utopia, Texas where he also hunted deer, hog and cleared cedars. He enjoyed fishing and hunting to feed his family rather than hunting for trophies. He was an active member of the British Sporting Club. He enjoyed traveling across the United States with Judith visiting national Parks and entertainment destinations. He also travelled most of Europe and Russia.

David was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Hilda Lamm, his brother Gerald Lamm and his sisters Clara Lamm and Bernice Lamm.

Left to honor his memory are his loving wife of 62 years Judith Lamm, his daughter Deborah Smith, and her husband Craig Smith, his son Richard Lamm and extended family in the United Kingdom.

His family would like to thank Cadre Hospice, Buffalo Creek Assisted Living and numerous private gifted caregivers for their help keeping David healthy and comfortable.
