Eddy Nieves, 69 years of age, of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away at Medical City Alliance Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, Monday, February 8, 2021.

He was born  January 7, 1952 to Eugenio and Ana (Medina) Nieves, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.

Eddy married the love of his life, Milagros Diaz on July 29, 1988 in New Brunswick, New Jersey. In 2004, they moved to Waxahachie, Texas, where they have resided since then.

Eddy was self-employed as a truck driver. He loved being a "trucker!"  He especially enjoyed driving all over the country, taking in all the sights and beauty along the way. Throughout his lifetime of trucking, he  travelled to the forty-eight contiguous states.

He is survived by his loving wife; Milagros Nieves, one daughter; Melissa Carlo and her husband; Pedro,  three sons; Saul  Nieves, Daniel Ortiz and his wife; Raisa Ortiz, Paul Ortiz, and two granddaughters; Delilah Castanedo and Nevaeh Carlo.

Eddy will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

A funeral service will be held Friday, February 12, 2021 at 1:00 o'clock in the afternoon at Waxahachie Funeral Home, 1201 Highway 287 By-Pass, Waxahachie, Texas. Interment will follow at Waxahachie City Cemetery, 300 South Hawkins Street, Waxahachie, Texas.
