IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Eldon Howard
Farmer
May 1, 1928 – February 25, 2022
Eldon Farmer, 93, surrounded by his family, peacefully entered his Eternal Home February 25, 2022. He was born May 1, 1928 in Highlands, Texas, to James and Hattie Belle Farmer. He attended Southwestern Bible Institute High School and Southwestern Bible Institute Junior College. Eldon proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
In May of 1959, while visiting his brother and sister-in-law, Blake and Ramona, Eldon met the love of his life, Prudy Farina. It was love at first sight. Four months later they were married on September 5th. They were blessed with two wonderful children.
He was a faithful member of University Assembly of God Church. Over the years he served in many capacities including Royal Ranger Commander and long time Board Member for a number of years. He also had a heart for missions and supported many missionaries. Eldon worked and ministered at SAGC for sixteen years. Many of Eldon and Prudy's friends were the recipients of their yearly birthday and anniversary phone calls.
Eldon was a faithful servant of the Lord. He was a wonderful husband and dad. He was the most loving Paw-Paw, who never missed an opportunity to spoil his grandchildren rotten.
His greatest joys in his life, were his faith, family and friends. Outside of his faith, nothing was more important to him than being with his family. He loved spending time with his grandkids, watching any movie or TV show they wanted to watch. Most of all, he loved family events.
Eldon is preceded in death by a baby brother, his parents James & Hattie Belle Farmer, his beloved son Kenneth Farmer, sister Esther Dubose, brother James Farmer (Marguerite) , sister Fauvette Hillman (Levin) and brother Blake Farmer (Ramona).
Survived by his loving wife of 63 1/2 years, Prudy Farina Farmer, daughter Kim George (David), daughter-in-law Barbara Farmer, grandchildren Elissa Campbell (Monte), Bryce George (Hayley), Raven Clark (Howard) and Lance Eldon George. Great-grandchildren, Payton Campbell, Jayden Kenneth Campbell, Kensley Campbell, and a host of adoring nieces and nephews who lovingly called him Uncle Red.
