Elizabeth Viola Gary, 91, passed away at Baylor Medical Center on Feb 19, 2011. Betty was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 7, 1919. Betty was a homemaker who loved to read, crochet, and listen to Western and Big Band music. Betty married Claude L. Gary in New York state on October 31, 1942 and they had eight children. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years. Survivors include her children, Phyllis and husband Richard Knafelc, Claude Lyle and wife Audrey Gary, Glenn and wife Rose Gary, Mary and husband William Adams, Claudia and husband Kenneth Clonts, Leslie and wife DeLinda Gary, Ruth Ann Medlin and partner Michel Hebert, Roberta Gary, 17 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be 6 - 8 PM Tuesday February 22, 2011 at Waxahachie Funeral Home. A graveside service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday February 23, 2011 At Lakeview Cemetery in Waxahachie, TX Arrangements are under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home.
