Estefana McCulloch, 81, peacefully entered her heavenly home on July 2, 2024, in Waxahachie, TX. Born on February 3, 1943, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Raul and Juana Saldana, she grew up in Oak Cliff, Dallas, Texas.
At the age of 37, Estefana married Donald McCulloch in 1979. Together, they raised two sons and three daughters. She was also blessed with five brothers and one sister. Estefana began her career in the meat industry as a meat packer for ten years at Krecks before joining her husband in their family pest control business, Delta Pest & Termite. Later, she worked as a hand fettler at Dal-Tile in Pleasant Grove for fifteen years.
In her leisure time, Estefana enjoyed watching novelas, dancing, savoring coffee, listening to music, and sharing laughter as the family jokester. She cherished moments spent with her family and was fond of Bingo and trips to the casino in her younger years. She dedicated herself to caring for her mother, children, and grandchildren, demonstrating her love through her culinary skills and preserving family history.
Estefana will be dearly missed as a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her legacy of love remains forever etched in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have shared in her journey.
She is preceded in death by her late husband --- Donald McCulloch , brothers --- Alfredo Saldana, Faustino Valdez, sister --- Lena Galvan, daughter --- Maria
Teresa Trevino, and son --- Edward Javier Velazquez.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters and a son: Rachel Patterson, Juanita McCulloch, James Trevino; three brothers: Cecilio Velasquez & wife, Carmen, Franscico Valdez & wife, Linda, Lazaro Valdez & wife, Patricia, fourteen grandchildren: Stephanie Casarez, Patricia Gonzalez, Jamie Ramirez, Alex Trevino, Denise Trevino, Michelle Pena, Kristopher Velazquez, Amanda Gomez, Miranda Kolar, Alexis Gomez, Arriana Lopez , Lazaro Reyes Jr., Donovan Reyes, and Isaiah Reyes; thirteen great grandchildren: Aime Ramirez, Chloe Ramirez, Enzo Ramirez, Natalie Esparza,Isaac Sandoval, Julian Sandoval, Santana Pena, Santiago Pena, Savannah Kolar, Gunnar Kolar, Anariya Guadarrama, Isabella Guadarrama, Sariah Guadarrama; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
