Eugene Brode, 92 years of age, passed away August 20, 2022.  He was born June 5, 1930, in Grayson County, Texas, to Hollis and Annie Brode.

Eugene proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserve for eight years, from 1953 – 1961.

He retired from the United States Postal Service in Dallas, Texas, where he was an architect.

After retirement, he and his wife moved to Glen Rose, Texas where they had cows and lived in a 100-year-old house on the Paluxy River.  He continued to work as an independent architect and building inspector.

Eugene was an active member of The Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of forty years, Iva Coquese Brode, his parents Hollis & Annie Brode, and brother Hollis Brode, Jr.

Eugene is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Eugenia & Nicholas Worontsoff, son D. George Brode, granddaughters Xenia Worontsoff, Tatiana Worontsoff, and a nephew Gary Brode.

He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.
