Evelyn McCown passed away on August 24th at the age of 85 years in Waxahachie, TX. She was born on March 21, 1931 in Vivian, LA to Charles Beason and Fannie Mae Harper Beason. She was married to A.J. McCown for 46 years.

Evelyn was a retired nutrition specialist with the Lancaster ISD with 30 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband A.J. McCown, daughters Peggy McFerrin, Alma McCown, Lois Shelton, Tereasa McCown, and son Andrew McCown Jr.

She is survived by three sons, Gary McCown of Royce City, TX, Robert McCown of Bangs, TX, and Bobby McCown of Lancaster, TX and a sister, Ada Mills, of Houston, TX. She also has 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
