Obituary

Born on September 28th,1963 to Lester and Gail Pickett  in Dallas, Texas. Garry went to be with JESUS after battling Covid pneumonia for over a month in Midlothian Methodist Hospital. When Garry and I met we both had two mischievous boys Jessie and Cody. On August 23, 1997, Garry Lynn Pickett married Kimberly Sue Reysack  and our blended family was such a blessing to us. We lost Jessie at a very early age. Out of the love Garry had for Cody he waited to adopt him until Cody understood the love and importance of Garry adopting him as his own.  Mine and Garry's favorite saying while on the phone was, "Love You Thru Eternity" and that is what we are doing. I was by his side until he took his last breath that God gave him. He worked for Kemper Life Insurance and enjoyed every minute of it. He would tell me how much he loved his clients and how they took good care of him. I even met a few of them and they told me they loved their Mr. Garry.  I told Garry one thing is I do not have to be jealous, because I know how much He loved me. I am very happy how his clients cared for him and how he cared for them. The clients I have met became close friends and have kept in contact with me for this entire time and even now. Before Garry worked for them he stayed home and took care of Cody, my mother, my grandmother and grandfather while supporting my dream and passion of working on my career as a Radiology Tech. Garry had a passion for motorcycles and serving God, and out of this was birthed the ministry, "Warriors of Faith." Garry was the President, and his nickname was "Rockhouse." We went to an event called Happy Feet with our oldest grandchild CJ and Garry gained the new nickname PaPa Rock; from that moment on the lives of the children that he encountered know Him as PaPa Rock. He cherished every minute being called PaPa Rock. He had many accomplishments, Bachelor's degree in Chaplain and Associate's in Theology, Certificate in Multimedia, Diploma from Covenant Treasure Institute, and Licensed in life insurance. Garry always had a passion for camping, fishing, and hunting.  He loved the outdoors and the fresh air.  Always had a smile and never met a stranger. He is a Mighty Warrior for Jesus.
