Gerald Raymond White, 90, was born on October 16,1920 to Frank and Reeda Bone White in Spencer, Oklahoma. Raymond was an Ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God. He pastored in several town in OK, MO, and MT before settling in Greenville TX and being employed by Raytheon. Raymond continued his part time ministry while attending East Texas State University and earning a Masters Degree in Journalism and Psychology. Prior to attending ETSU Raymond attended Central Bible Institute in Springfield MO, and a Baptist Seminary in Los Angeles CA. He moved to Waxahachie,TX where he taught English and Journalism for about 10 years at Southwestern Assemblies of God University. Raymond and Ethel were also missionaries to the Philippines and served as a counselor with RAPHA, a Christian based organization. Preceding him in death was his first wife Ruth and a daughter Laura. Survivors include his wife Ethel of Ennis TX, sons George White and wife Vicki of Bonita Springs FL, Jerry White of Houston TX, grandchildren Susan Downer, Paul Downer, Jeff Downer, Jerry Edward White, Kenneth White, Lisa White, Wendy White. A Memorial Service officiated by Rev Nolan Sluder will be 1:00 PM Wednesday December 15, 2010 at the Waxahachie Funeral Home Chapel.
