Gwendolyn Stephens, 89 ended her life's assignment on May 20, 2020. She was born on August 16, 1930 to William and Eula Jayne Sartin in Corpus Christi Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William & Eula Sartin. She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-seven years, Rev. Richard Stephens;  two sons,  Roger Lynn Stephens of Ovilla Texas, Terry Lee Stephens of Winterport Maine;  and daughter, Beverly Ruth Stephens Hanawalt of Fort Collins Colorado; one brother, Robert  D'Wayne Sartin of Camino California; two sisters, Carol Jayne Johnson of Venice Florida, Sharon Ann Gerald of Stanton Texas;  seven grandchildren, and  one great-grandchild.

She was a devoted, beloved wife and mother. She considered her family as her greatest calling and responsibility. She was a loyal helpmate to her husband in his pastoral ministry, often leading women's groups in the various churches he pastored. She was also very involved in the area of Christian education, having taught high school teens and college age students for over 30 years.

Arrangements for a graveside service on June 1, 2020, are being handled by Allnut Funeral Home in Fort Collins Colorado.
