Obituary

Harold B. Rudd, "Pete" of Midlothian, TX unexpectedly passed away on October 1st, 2024, in Waxahachie, TX. Pete was born in Mimosa (Fayetteville), TN on March 22nd, 1946, to Jonnie Ruth and Harold Rudd of Fayetteville, TN. Pete was a colon cancer survivor for eight years. Eventually his heart weakened causing multiple difficulties with other bodily functions which eventually overwhelmed him.

Pete grew up in Fayetteville and had two sister, Vickie Rudd (DeMand) and Jodi Swihart (Latronica). He had fond memories of his youth and loved to share his experiences of his life in Fayetteville. He lived with his dad (Harold Rudd) during the summers in Chicago while his dad worked at the Fischer Body Plant. He graduated from Central High in Fayetteville in 1964. Throughout the years he has kept close relationships with his graduating class and actively communicated with them. He attended college at Memphis State University.

He met his first wife Margaret Wade and had his first son, Harold B. Rudd, III "Hal". He began his employment with Bank of America and moved to Charlotte, NC. Throughout the years he was employed with the bank he moved to different areas and finally to the Dallas area in 1983 achieving position of Vice President. He met his current loving wife, Lynnette Gutierrez, in Dallas and had another son Keith Andrew Anderson, both of Midlothian.

His passion was riding Motorcycles and was active with Goldwing Road Riders Association for many years. He also loved smoking/cooking meats, hunting, plane spotting, sports and giving advice. He was active in elections and polls spending many years working every election, many times as the election judge, performing his duties ensuring the law was abided by and everyone had a chance to vote.

Pete had a special relationship with many of his nieces and nephews. He was always available to lend them advice and be a shoulder to lean on. He captured any opportunity to be a mentor and would display an endless amount of patience helping someone to understand a process and what was needed to be done.

He is preceded in Death by his parents, Harold and Johnnie Ruth. He is survived by his wife, Lynn, his sons Hal and Keith, his sister Vicki DeMand (Vern), half-sister Jodi Latronica, grandson Liam and not to mention many loving cousins and nephews and nieces who will miss him dearly. His departure has left an emptiness in the family and the hearts of many. He is at peace now and his memories will live in our hearts forever.
