Helen Marie Sims, 89, passed away on January 3, 2018 in Arlington, TX with family by her side.  Helen was born in Gainesville, TX on May 24, 1928 to Clifton Ward Hunter and Minnie Blanche Hunter.

After a long career at Flexsteel Industries, Inc., she retired in 1983 and moved to Arlington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Weldon Sims, and brother WC Hunter.

She loved her grandchildren, reading scripture and exercising with friends.

She is survived by daughter, Vicki Sims English, son-in-law, Eric English, and three grandchildren, Alex, Kelsey and Megan English.

A celebration of Helen's life will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, January 13th at Waxahachie Funeral Home with internment afterward at Waxahachie Cemetery.

The family asks that any donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project in lieu of flowers.
