Henry Carroll Jr., passed away March 12, 2020 surrounded by his family.  He was born July 7, 1925, in Waco, Texas to Henry and Leona Carroll.  Henry joined the Marines in 1943 he proudly served his country in the South Pacific, he was in the same battalion as John Glenn.  He was able to meet John Glenn and his wife at a reunion.  In 2019 Henry  was honored as the Oldest World War II Ellis County Veteran.

He is preceded in death by a his first wife Dorothy Louise Carroll,  son Jackie, sisters Leona,  and Doris.

Henry is survived by his loving wife of  24 years Norma Jean Slagle Carroll, Sons Kurt Carroll and wife Melissa, Dan McMillian, Don Waylon Haygood and wife Brandy,  daughters Lynn Lunsford,  Patsy Parr and husband Carl,  Gloria Collier and husband Rudy, 23 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 6-8:00 pm,  Monday, March 16, 2020 at Waxahachie Funeral Home.    Funeral Service will be 11 am, Tuesday 17, 2020 at New Life Worship Center 1320 Brown St. Waxahachie, TX.

Interment will be 9:30 am, Wednesday March 18, 2020  at the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery.
