IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jakob Levi
Ford
July 8, 2005 – September 19, 2022
Jakob Ford, 17, of Granbury, Texas, passed away unexpectedly Monday, September 19, 2022.
He was born on July 8, 2005, in Ennis, Texas, to Jessica Lynn Ford & Brandon Levi Hunter.
Jakob managed to pack a lot of life into the seventeen years he was with us. He loved to cook! He had that special talent of taking anything and making it taste delicious. He enjoyed doing some modeling gigs when he was younger. He loved anything to do with water! Whether a hole in the backyard, a swimming pool, or a lake, he loved to be in the water. He especially had a soft spot for anything or anyone that didn't have a place to call home. It was not uncommon for his mom to find him filling a bag with food from their pantry for a friend who was hungry. And there were times when she felt like the SPCA's address was their house! He wanted to bring home every stray or lost animal. His heart was gentle, kind, and big! A neighbor wrote the following about him: "Jakob had a light inside of him and he just SHINED."
He is preceded in death by his great grandparents: Doris Medley, Hazel Hunter, and Billy Hunter.
Left to honor his memory is his mother Jessica Ford, father Brandon Hunter, maternal grandmother Genette Ford, paternal grandfather Terry Hunter and Susan Nalley, paternal grandmother Terri Steele and Andy Waters. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also leaves behind his absolute "Best Bud" and Uncle, Devan Dailey. He was more than just an uncle, he was his "ride or die" partner in everything. They talked everyday and spent countless hours together just hanging out or sitting on the front porch listening to music.
There will be a Memorial Service Friday, September 30, 2022, at 7:30 PM at Waxahachie Funeral Home Chapel, 1201 West Highway 287 By-Pass, Waxahachie, Texas 75165.
