James Thomas Fabby, 79, of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022. He was born May 8, 1943, in Covington, Kentucky.

Mr. Fabby spent his life as a cowboy, and his later years in law enforcement, retiring from Ellis County Sheriff's Department.

Jim proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, and was a true patriot.

He married the love of his life, Patricia, September 8, 1967, in Arizona.

Left to honor his memory is his loving wife of fifty-five years, Patricia Fabby, their children: Alexa & Kyle Smith, Rick & Lane Fabby, Lainey Segovia, T.J. & Ashley Fabby, grandchildren: Jared Weigant, Austin Fabby, Brianna & Jamie Shields, Cassi Fabby, Jonah Segovia, Abby Segovia, Lydia Segovia, Micah Segovia, Jim Fabby, Jordyn Fabby, and two great grandchildren: Evie Shields and Allie Shields.

Jim enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and his dog, Sonny. There is much that can be said about Jim, but most important he was the best Daddy, Papa, husband, and friend.

Jim will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him!

All friends and family going to DFW National Cemetery should meet at Waxahachie Funeral Home, Tuesday at 8:45 AM for the processional line up.
