Jimmy Hopkins, 71, passed away at his home, after a long illness, on September 19, 2011. He was born September 6, 1941. Jimmy was a Master Electrician and owned and operated his business in Waxahachie for many years. Jimmy married the love of his life Linda Ann Bryant in Garland, TX on January 25, 1960. He is preceded in death in 2011 by his wife Linda of 52 years, a son James Dale Hopkins, his parents, and 2 sisters. Jimmy is survived by and will be greatly missed by his daughter Donna Smithwick and husband Johnny of Waxahachie, grandsons Jackie Clark, & Jacob Clark all of Waxahachie, sisters Verna Helton and Lee Lucas, brothers Robert Hopkins and Freddy Hopkins. Visitation will be Friday, September 21, 2012 from 6-8 PM at Waxahachie Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 10 AM at Waxahachie Funeral Home with interment following at Lakeview Cemetery.
