James (Jim) Joseph Hanley, 72 years of age, of Red Oak, Texas, passed away at his home, Thursday evening, April 28, 2022.

He was born October 7, 1949 to Joseph James and Dorothy Grace (Zeller) Hanley in Dallas, Texas.

James married the love of his life, Mary, in 1976 in Dallas, Texas. Eventually, they made their home in Red Oak, Texas, where they raised their family and shared many wonderful years together. James enjoyed spending time outdoors, but his favorite pastime was fishing.

He is proceeded in death by his father; Joseph Hanley. He is survived by his mother; Dorothy Hanley of Cedar Hill, TX, his loving wife of forty-five years Mary of  Red Oak, TX, daughter and son-in-law; Laura & Steve Rice of Maypearl, TX, son and daughter-in-law, Michael & Nicole Hanley of Midlothian, TX, grandsons: Colton & Austin Rice, brothers: Joe Hanley, Mike Hanley, Pete Hanley and their spouses, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

James will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
