James "Jim" Wheatley, 91, passed away at his home with loving family around him on October 15, 2025.  He was born on June 3, 1934 in Newfane, New York to Richard and Lucille Wheatley.  He married the love of his life, Dorothy Wheatley, on July 24, 1954.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 64.11 years Dorothy Wheatley, son-in-law Steven Mishler and grandson Trevor Wheatley.

Jim is survived by 4 children: son David Wheatley and wife Maggi of Texas, daughter Lynn Mishler of Arizona, son Mike Wheatley and wife Christiane of Missouri, daughter Julie McGowan and husband Robert of Texas; 11 grandchildren: Troy Wheatley of Washington, Tyler Wheatley and wife Jenny of Idaho, Thad Wheatley and wife Anna of Washington, Tim Wheatley and wife Kelli of Tennessee, Lucia Gonzalez of Texas, Joshua Mishler and wife Maria of Germany, Caleb Mishler of Arizona, Daniel Wheatley of Arizona, Savannah Roundtree and husband Aaron of California, Andrew Saum and wife Lesley of Texas, Breanna Doolin and husband Nathan of Texas, and 15 great-grandchildren: Madisyn, Abigail, Ebony, Haily, Hannah, Cole, Finn, Paige, Ryan, Kody, Maya, Bryn, Nyjah, Camila, and soon-to-be born Cru.

A funeral service will be held at 10am Saturday, October 18, 2015 at Waxahachie Funeral Home.  A private Interment will be held on October 27, 2025 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
