Cooley
September 5, 1962 – December 10, 2021
Jane Marion Cooley, was born September 5, 1962 in Waterloo New York, to her loving parents Donald and Vera Cooley. She was the 9th out of 11 children.
Growing up Jane was always hanging around her older brothers. She would often babysit the neighborhood kids. Jane was never far from her best friend Cindy Buckland and, 47 years later the pair still remain inseparable.
In 1982 Jane and her husband Larry Dee Finklea moved to Venus, Texas and together they open Elite Tire shop in Midlothian,Texas.
Years later in August 1993 Jane had their first child Sheyenne Jaquee Finklea, then 2 years later in November of 1995, she had her son Lakota Terrence Finklea. They were the center of her heart and she devoted her life to them.
Jane loved to travel taking many road trips all over the United States with her family. She could often be found reading , gardening or in the kitchen usually making banana bread. Her favorite places were going to church, Joy Walker's Bible study, her van, going on county drives, and her Friday connect Bible study.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Vera Cooley, brothers Paul Charles Cooley, David Allen Youngs, and sister Lori McDonald.
Jane is survived by a son Lakota Finklea, daughter Sheyenne Finklea, sisters Barbara Hewitt, Joyce Youngs, Cynthia Buckland, brothers Harold Cooley, Donald Colley, William Cooley, Bruce Cooley, Jeffery Cooley.
Jane had a huge heart, she was a kind, understanding, strong, trustworthy, and God fearing woman who's faith was unshakable. She touched so many lives and will be dearly missed until the Lord calls all of us home to him.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 17, 2021 at 10:00-11:00 AM, Funeral Service will be 11:00-12:30 PM, both held at Cowboy Church of Ellis County, 2374 W.Hwy 287, Waxahachie, TX. Lunch will be served from 1:00-2:00 PM with interment following at Newton Cemetery, Midlothian, TX.
