IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeffrey Kent
Todd
April 28, 1961 – May 2, 2024
The life of Jeffrey Kent Todd here on earth is worthy of great celebration. Jeff ushered thousands of people over his life into the sweet presence of worshiping His Heavenly Father as his fingers danced across the piano. Now Jeff is living forevermore in an eternal place of worship face to face with Jesus. Jeff impacted so many people young and old as he encouraged, promoted and highlighted worship in all forms and had significant influence on so many people. He taught them how to use their unique gifts for the Kingdom of God through fine arts, sports, painting, music and whatever talent you can think of. Jeff had another expression of worship that he also passed on and taught to many. Off his piano bench, his next favorite place was in his garden. That was his private sanctuary where He felt closest to the Lord as he discovered all the ways God glorified himself through the beauty of plants and nature. He could name every plant you could point to and tell you how to take care of it. The last few years of his life were filled with hardship and many health problems. Jeff's family verse was Job 1:21 "The Lord gives and He takes away and I will bless the name of the Lord." Although Jeff's health was taken and the ability to do many of the forms of worship he had loved for so long, he learned a new way to worship. He learned to worship through his suffering. He didn't understand why the Lord allowed such pain and sickness but He never turned from him. He had seasons of great faith and testifying and low seasons in dark places with little to give of Himself, but He who started a work in him was faithful to continue working in the deepest parts of his heart until his last breath where God's work is now complete and perfected in Heaven. Jeff left behind his older sister Jackie, younger sister Susan, and his five grown children Melissa, Melanie, Michael, Mitchell, and Mekaylee. His children were the apple of his eye. He could not have been more proud of who each of them are. From the day they were born, he spoke words affirming his great love for them. He was a true picture of the Father's heart for his children. Jeff also had a the great privilege to live with and love his 3 beautiful granddaughters Jasmine Journey and Jemima whom he adorned. The presence of our dear brother, father, Poppy, friend and worship leader will be missed beyond what words can express, but "We do not grieve as the world who has no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep." (Thes.4:13) We have a living hope that all who know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior will meet him again one day and get to worship together for all of eternity. If you do not know the One who brings this kind of hope in time of death, call out to Jesus and be saved. That is Jeff's greatest wish as we celebrate the Life he was given.
