Jessie Mae Aydelott

February 25, 1930 - March 25, 2024

Jessie Mae Aydelott went to her Heavenly home on March 25th, 2024.  She was born in Midlothian, Texas on  February 25th, 1930 to Elmer and Mary Emma Murray.

Jessie was a member of the Cowboy Church of Orange County in Orange, Texas.  She was also an at-large member of the Lufkin Evening Lions Club.  Jessie loved to crochet, bake cakes, and make homemade biscuits.

She is preceded in death by parents, Elmer J. and Mary Emma Murray, her husband, Raymond Douglas Aydelott, brothers, Donald Murray, Thomas Sanford "Sonny" Murray, Jack Murray, Hugh Murray, and Yancey Murray, sisters, Juanita Cates and Lois Maxwell, her grandchild, Brent Buford, and her beloved dog Roxi and cat, Suga.

Jessie is survived by her son, Raymond Larry Aydelott, and his wife, Mary Aydelott, daughters, Linda Buford, Susan Jones, and Sandra Bickham, and grandchildren, Tracy Aydelott Roman, Jason Aydelott, Dana Buford Chesson, Doug Aydelott, Justin Luckie, Cory Jones, Jessica Jones, Nathan Bickham, Jaremy Bickham, Jana Bickham, Jennifer Hayes, Craig Harryman, and many great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at the Waxahachie Funeral Home on Saturday, March 30th at 9:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 10:30 a.m.  Interment will be at the Sardis Cemetery in Sardis, Texas.  Services will be officiated by pastor, and long time friend, Brother Dale Lee.

In remembrance of Jessie, she requested that any charitable donations be made to the Cowboy Church of Orange County, which she loved dearly.
