James Ellis "Jimbo" Hughes, 61 was born on November 28, 1954 to Clyde Thomas Hughes and Carolyn Blanche Sims. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, March 20, 2016. Jimbo is preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Sims and survived by his wife Crystal, father Tommy, brother, Gene, sister Linda Moore and husband, Donald, sister Stacy Gregg and brother in law David, sister Vicki Saenz and brother in law Fernando, sister in law Veronica Wilson and husband Kevin, daughter Christy Beets and husband Rance, son Marcus and wife Renee, son, Dakota Lara and wife Katy, five grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening at Waxahachie Funeral Home from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 PM at the Maypearl Church of Christ with Burial to follow.
