Jimmy Barcus, 73 passed away September 21, 2021. He was born May 28, 1948 in Lane, Oklahoma to Sampson Colbert and Artie Barcus Jimmy proudly served his country in the United States 'Marine Corp.

Jimmy married Elois Cole on May 12, 1969 while he was home on leave in Hugo Oklahoma.  Elois lived with Jimmy's sister Barbara and her husband until he returned home from the service.  They would then live in California and Georgia and in 1974 moved to Texas where he would live with his wife and 3 children for the remainder of his life.

Jimmy was a proud Marine and a member of the Ellis Co. Marine Corp. His hobbies were riding his Harley and anything family oriented.  He was a very honorable man with a kind soul and would do anything for anyone.

Jimmy will truly be missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother Artie Barcus, his father Sampson Colbert, brother Howard Jacobs, sisters Judy Jacobs, & Betty Jacobs.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of  52 years, Elois Cole  Barcus of Palmer, son Brian Barcus of Palmer,  daughters Paulette and Jim Leal of Palmer,  Stephanie and Josh Lloyd  of Plano, grandchildren Jeremy Gauna of Midlothian, Samantha and Dustin Shinette of Ennis, Jessica Gauna and spouse Mayra Mendoza of Waxahachie, Elizabeth Robinson and spouse Truman Burgett of Palmer, Morgan Spray of Plano, Justin and Joslyn  Martinez of Austin, Asher Barcus of Coppell, and numerous great grandchildren, sisters Barbara Nowlin of Oklahoma, Dorothy Martin of California, Sandy Montemayor of California, Linda Bjorgen of North Carolina and numerous nieces and nephews.
