J. L. Daugherty, 78, passed away at home with his family around him on November 9, 2011. He was born March 7, 1933, in Akron, Ohio to John and Lucile Daugherty. J.L. is preceded in death by his first wife Judy Daugherty. He is survived by his second wife Jean Daugherty, one daughter Jody Holder and husband David, two sons John Daugherty III and Joel Daugherty and wife Cathy, Step daughters Debra Brand, Kathy Draeger and husband Mitchell, Lisa Perkins and husband John. Grandchildren Nicholas Holder and wife Chelsea, Justin Daugherty, Amber Hawley and husband Kenny, Sarah Zientek and husband Bryan, Darren Daugherty, Jeremy Daugherty. Step Grandchildren BJ Parten and wife Robin, Stephanie Scott and husband Joe, Brittany Parten, Mallory Perkins, John Perkins, Alex O'Daniel, Chris O'Daniel,one great-grandchild Autumn Zientek, four step great-grandchildren Allie Parten, Zachary Parten, Shaylee Scott, and Jackson Scott. Visitation will be Friday, November 11, 2011, 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Waxahachie Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 10AM at Waxahachie Funeral Home, with interment following at Lakeview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home.
