Johnny Mackey, 77, left his earthly body on October 29, 2025. He was born on February 28, 1948, in Sherman, Texas, to Johnny Sr. and Margaret Walker Mackey. In his early years, Johnny attended the University of North Texas on a track scholarship, where he earned his Bachelor's degree and began his lifelong career as the business owner of, "John Mackey Home Energy Specialist."

Johnny was passionate about sports, specifically the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. He was a friend of Bill, enjoyed golfing, spending time with family, watching movies, and sharing meals - he was an "old school foodie".

He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Mackey Sr.; mother, Margaret Walker Mackey; and step mother, Dorothy Mackey.

Johnny's memory will be honored by his son, Brandon Mackey and wife Chelsey; daughter, Amber Mackey Kupper and husband Justin; grandson, Kyzer; and a host of beloved family members, including Bonnie, Jimmy, Amy, Brenda, Manuel, Kendall, and numerous nieces and nephews.
