Juan Martinez, Sr. 59, passed away peacefully at his residence with his family at his side on May 15, 2010. He was born October 31, 1950 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Santos and Antonia (Cruz) Martinez. He married Rosa Alicia Mejorado June 6, 1970 in Ellis County where he has made his home. Juan is preceded in death by Santos Martinez Sr., Santos Martinez Jr. Antonia Cruz Martinez, and Antonia Martinez. He is survived by His wife of almost 40 years Rosa, Daughters Rose Mary Jaramillo, Rita Hastings, Melanie Renee Ovalle, Jamie Lopez, Sons Juan Marinez Jr., Matthew Ryan Martinez, Sisters Aurora Estrada, Maria Martinez, Susie Martinez, Margarita Valdez, brothers Ray Martinez, Robert Martinez, 22 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday May 18, 2010 at Waxahachie Funeral Home.
