Judith Ann Kerr

Judith Ann Kerr of Ovilla, Texas, passed away July 12, 2017 in Dallas, Texas surrounded by her family and dear friends.

Judy was born December 22, 1948 to Earl and Ruby Russell in Lampasas, Texas. She spent most of her childhood years in the Waco area, and graduated from China Spring High School in 1967.  Judy married the love of her life Jerry Kerr, 50 years ago on July 15, 1967, at First Baptist Church China Spring.

Judy and Jerry moved to Ovilla in 1974 and have been active members of Ovilla Road Baptist Church since that time. Judy was a devoted follower of Christ, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, a loyal friend, an exceptional cook and dedicated choir member.

Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Audine (Terral) Russell and father, Earl D. Russell. She is survived by her husband Jerry Kerr, daughter Samantha Rohde and husband John, son Justice Kerr and wife Mandy, both of Hurst, Texas, grandchildren Caden, Sophie, Addy, sister Patti Ridley and husband Dennis of Wyoming, niece Kristi Jo Reynolds and husband Nick of Australia, extended Terral and Kerr family, and a host of loving friends and church community.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 18, 2017 , followed by a Funeral Service starting at 2:00 PM . Both will be held at Ovilla Road Baptist Church, 3251 Ovilla Road, Ovilla, TX 75154.

Memorial donations may be made to Ovilla Road Baptist Church or Ovilla Christian School, both in Ovilla, Texas, or Covenant Christian Academy in Colleyville, Texas.
