Karen Lynn Ansley, 56, of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away on April 13, 2026. Born in Denton, Texas, she dedicated her life to nurturing and educating children as a beloved teacher, foster parent, mentor, and as a devoted mother to her children. She will be remembered for her compassion, her gentle strength, and the countless lives she touched.
Karen was preceded in death by her mother Susan Terry.
She was blessed with a husband who stood by her side with unwavering love. As a stepfather, he embraced her children as his own, offering them guidance, stability, and a gentle strength that became a cornerstone of their family. Through his devotion, patience, tenderness, and a depth of love that spoke louder than words, he brought her true happiness, comfort, and peace.
Karen’s greatest joy was being a mother to her children, each one cherished beyond measure. She poured her whole heart into motherhood—celebrating victories, comforting hurts, and creating a home filled with acceptance, laughter, and unconditional love.
She was deeply devoted to her family, especially her sisters, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond. She was the heart of every gathering and the aunt who made sure all ten cousins grew up side‑by‑side — laughing together, celebrating together, and building the kind of childhood memories that last a lifetime. Her presence held the family close, and her love created a sense of togetherness that will be cherished for generations.
As a dedicated teacher, she believed every child deserved to be seen, encouraged, and celebrated. Her students remember her as the teacher who made learning fun and full of possibility.
Her family takes comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on—in the children she raised, the students she inspired, and the love she gave so freely. Though her time here was far too short, her impact will ripple forward for generations.
Karen is survived by her loving husband Jeffery Clayton Ansley, her beloved children Hannah Green and husband Ryan Green, Joshua Ensinia, Abigail Ensinia, David Ensinia and James Ensinia, Justin Ansley and LynnZee Ansley. Her precious grandson Brantley Blevins. Her siblings Jennifer Whitson and husband John Cannon, Laura Stone and husband and Brent Stone, Brian Whitson. Her parents Loy Terry, Warren and Glenda Whitson and her cherished nephews and niece Tyler, Justin, Peyton, Weston and Lane.
